We seek a colleague with research and teaching expertise in the field of premodern critical race studies. Strong preference will be given to candidates who also bring a global and/or intersectional approach to the study of race in the medieval period. The teaching load is 18 credits (typically five courses) per year, including one writing-intensive course each semester and regular participation in Skidmore's First Year Experience program. reputed company professors are expected to participate fully in the life of the college, including advising, faculty governance, and department activities.
