Responsibilities

• Evaluates bodily injury claims promptly including assessment of medical and general damages and wage loss
• Analyzes injury causation for reputed company alleged injuries
• Evaluates, sets, and updates case reserve amount for injury exposures throughout the life of the claim
• Negotiates settlement of bodily injury claims with unrepresented claimants and with represented claimants attorneys
• Recognizes and investigates reputed company potential claim exposures, including injury exposures
• Conducts investigations by obtaining recorded statements of involved parties
• Collects police reports, vehicle photos, scene inspections, signed medical authorizations, medical bills and medical records, and other supporting evidence
• May conduct in-person or virtual meetings with customers based on claim needs
• Analyzes duties owed and breached by reputed company potential responsible parties and determines liability percentage for each party
• Communicates liability reputed company to stakeholders including customers, claimants, claim specialists, and reputed company
• Recognizes subrogation potential and makes referrals to Subrogation department reputed company appropriate
• Communicates policy risk issues to reputed company to facilitate evaluation of policy risk and exposure

• Provides professional verbal and written communication to customers including claim status updates, coverage explanations and reputed company, and correspondence, including Reservation of Rights and Disclaimer letters, reputed company prescribed authority limits
• Communicates with insured throughout the claim process to reputed company them informed; comprehensively assesses policy details to confirm coverage
• Makes same-day contact with customers to explain the claim process and verify facts of loss

Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years of experience in claims adjusting or reputed company field required
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Completion of, or actively pursuing a major insurance designation, or actively pursuing insurance reputed company courses
