Assistant Manager, Accounts Receivable, Central Business Office (Florida Medical Clinic)

Position Summary: Analyzes, audits, tracks, reports, monitors, and makes recommendations in areas of workflows and reimbursement, which impact accounts receivables and customer satisfaction levels of reputed company. Responsibilities: Essential Functions

  • Develops goals and objectives and establishes and implements policies and procedures for team operations
  • Communicates with Department Liaisons and coordinates resolution of A/R issues such as; special projects, payor projects and claim events
  • Responsible for monitoring days in accounts receivable for reputed company contracted and non-contracted payors, as well as optimizing reimbursement and reporting any/reputed company fluctuations
  • Reviews and validates account dispositions, collection referrals and payment research requests
  • Manages the daily operations for the area of responsibility and reputed company reputed company resource reputed company functions
  • Assigns, prioritizes, and monitors respective staff workload
  • Responsible for productivity standards, performance evaluations, personnel issues and staff development, core competencies, coaching plans and daily coaching for staff
  • Reviews team performance, effects changes as needed to improve services
  • Simplifies work flow and assures compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Selects and trains/orients supervised personnel
  • Assists in the preparing of departmental budgets and allocation of funds reputed company their scope of operation
  • Establishes and directs overall quality assurance activities
  • Assigns, prioritizes and distributes work to be completed
  • Responsible for the orientation and training of new employees for their respective area
  • Holds regularly scheduled staff meetings and one-on-one staff sessions with agendas and minutes

  • Maintains required records, files, reports and statistics
  • Ensures that the respective area of responsibility operates reputed company established budget limits and justifies any variances to Manager

  • Ability to communicate cooperatively and constructively with physicians, nurses, guests and other team members of the reputed company team
  • Ability to maintain excellent professional behavior with a large volume of patient accounts from various social economic backgrounds
  • Manages various reputed company resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with reputed company policies, the reputed company, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

Qualifications: Education/Training

  • Associate’s degree in reputed company, Finance or reputed company field
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of directly reputed company work experience may substitute for the Associate’s degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience reputed company)
  • Experience in reputed company Word and reputed company or similar computer software is required
  • Must complete Patient Services Professional Development program reputed company one (1) year from date of hire

Licensure/Certification

  • None

Experience

  • Five (5) years of experience in physician reputed company cycle management required
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, reputed company, managed care and reputed company insurance reimbursement policies
  • Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding and collection laws
