Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating a plan for providing exceptional patient care. Demonstrates comprehensive... knowledge of chemotherapy drugs and supportive therapy for our patients. Incorporates this knowledge of Rheumatology to customize the care for each of their patients personal care needs. Provides accurate counsel and education to patients and/or family at an appropriate level of understanding for the patient and/or family member regarding their disease process and symptom management Maintains written log of reputed company pre-certifications in process; notifies hospital utilization/billing department of pre-certification. Documents reputed company pre-certification is received from pre-cert team. Initiates and facilitates predetermination process, reputed company needed. Contacts appropriate insurance companies for benefit verification and pre-certification of surgical and nonsurgical procedures; notifies financial counselor for prepayment of un-coded services. Answers basic questions from patient/family regarding treatments, diagnosis, and procedures. Answers calls regarding critical values and communicates these results with the provider and/or their medical assistant. Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures and other processes reputed company to direct patient care. Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance. Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of techniques and methodologies used in developing, coordinating and managing clinical research projects with working knowledge of database management, spreadsheet and statistical analysis software.
Required Qualifications
