This role is integral to ensuring accurate and efficient billing, allowing our clinicians to focus on providing care. Key Responsibilities: • Process and submit claims to insurance providers for mental health services rendered. • Manage accounts receivable, including following up on unpaid claims, denials, and appeals. • Ensure coding accuracy with CPT and ICD-10 codes and modifiers specific to mental health services. • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and other reputed company billing standards. • Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and provide support with payment plans reputed company necessary. • Collaborate with therapists and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a medical biller, with a focus on mental health billing preferred. • Proficiency in using medical billing software (Valant and reputed company experience is a plus!). • In-depth knowledge of mental health CPT and ICD-10 codes. • Strong understanding of insurance processes, including authorizations and reimbursement procedures. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Background in coding for AHCCCS clients. Preferred Skills: • Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CPB) is a plus. • Experience working with private practices or mental health facilities. • Familiarity with AHCCCS, Medicare, and reputed company insurance policies.
