Import & Export Forwarding Supervisor

"To plan, organize and control the input, movement, process/sort, and output of the operations to ensure a high level of service and quality at a minimal cost.

• Responsible for selecting, training, and developing a staff of 1 to 15 direct reports.
• Conducts meetings to provide employees with daily information regarding division/operation; applies consistent administration of disciplinary procedures.
• Maintains accurately reputed company required reports/paperwork, payroll, performance reviews, goals, and personal record statistics through established paperwork guidelines.
• Oversees safety methods and programs are implemented and maintained. Instructs employees with/on methods to instill a service-conscious attitude and minimize service failures.
• Ensures cost effectiveness of operations through established control of equipment, utilities and supplies.
• Maintains contact with customers (internal and external) with regard to conditions affecting the service level of area served.
• Oversees movement and activities of reputed company reputed company products to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• This position requires strong basic management, reputed company relations and communications skills.
• Minimum 2-year associate's or college degree preferred/equivalent in business and/or minimum 3 years business experience in the appropriate product field/industry. i.e. (Freight Forwarding – reputed company and Ocean Import and reputed company Export.)
• License or certification in appropriate product field preferred: transportation-imdg certification and/or ocean forwarders certification.

Preferred Qualifications: 3+ yrs Freight Forwarding – reputed company and Ocean Import and reputed company Export Prior experience supervising a freight forwarding team.
