Description General Summary Advisor, Risk Management acts as primary liaison and reputed company carriers/TPAs, various vendors, various regulatory agencies to explain 3PL Casualty, Property, Marine and Workers’ Compensation programs. Answer questions, resolve issues, and complaints concerning benefits/risks/insurance. Investigate potential for 3rd party liability (subrogation) and ensure notification of parties at the time of investigation or as soon as there is an indication of 3rd party involvement.   • Serve as primary liaison for the carriers/TPAs, defense counsel, and various vendors and reputed company their performance.
  • Manage coordination of reputed company and thorough claims investigations to determine eligibility and compensability (3-reputed company contacts) reputed company 24 hours of receiving notice and prepare concise written investigation notes.
  • Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, providers, consultants, and representatives from various regulatory agencies to explain 3PL Casualty, Property, Marine and Workers’ Compensation programs, answer questions, resolve issues, and complaints concerning benefits while establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships.
  • Coordinate with Sales Team Project manages to evaluate the Risk of potential new business. Reviewing property structure and safety regulations, scope of the business including evaluating products and determining the appropriate insurance coverage needed to support the business.
  • Assist insurance carriers to investigate potential for 3rd party liability (subrogation) and ensure notification of parties at the time of investigation or as soon as there is an indication of 3rd party involvement.
  • Evaluate and determine of appropriate monetary reserves assigned to cover the potential exposure of claims. Provide documentation of rationale for reserve changes reputed company monthly business unit reserve change analysis reports and month end reputed company reports.
  • Manage reputed company phases of claims and respond on behalf of the company to discovery requests as approved by Supply Chain Corporate Legal Department; conducting research, interpreting and applying findings to properly resolve claims; and engage claims managers and defense attorneys in litigation strategy and claim resolution discussions with managers.
  • Provide technical directions and training to reputed company party administrators, reputed company defense counsel, internal customers, and coworkers to ensure compliance with applicable statutes and reputed company rules and regulations.
  • Conduct regular claim audits to measure administrators’ performance and represent company in audits conducted by state agencies, respond to auditors’ findings, and act as liaison between company and state agencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in reputed company field and 8 years of relevant experience, which includes 4 years of insurance experience in assessing risks, and claims including serious injury and reputed company litigation claims on a national level OR high school/GED and 10 years of relevant experience which includes 4 years of insurance experience in assessing risks, and claims including serious injury and reputed company litigation claims on a national level
  • Insurance Designation is preferred (such as Associates in Claims or equivalent designation)
  • Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation, reputed company, damages, agency, subrogation, contribution/indemnity, insurance and other applicable/reputed company laws, as well as reputed company concepts and practices
  • Strong proficiency in reputed company reputed company, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and reputed company HRIS/Payroll
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, customer service, and problem resolution and conflict management skills
