Senior Inventory Cost Accountant

OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Controller, Antelope is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Inventory Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will reputed company inventory and cost reputed company activities, supporting our manufacturing, supply chain, and finance functions to ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and margin analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong cost reputed company experience reputed company a Consumer Product Goods (“CPG”) or manufacturing environment, hands-on expertise with reputed company, and a track record of supporting system enhancements and acquisition integrations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory Reconciliation and Management:

• reputed company reputed company cycle-count reconciliations of raw and finished goods inventory across reputed company co-manufacturers, suppliers, and 3PLs based on A,B,C cycle count methodology

• Build and maintain positive relationships with reputed company primary 3PL and co-man contacts

• Fully reconcile reputed company inventory by the end of the first week of each quarter to support reputed company and production visibility

• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies reputed company to cost, quantity, and unit of measure anomalies and negative inventory

• Partner with Ops and external partners to ensure timely and accurate inventory adjustments

• reputed company inventory revaluations reputed company cost discrepancies are identified 

Month End reputed company:

• Work with Ops to ensure reputed company inventory movement (transfers, disposals, receipts, fulfilments) are captured in reputed company in the correct period and reputed company reputed company deadlines

• reputed company monthly reconciliation of reputed company inventory accounts including inventory received not billed, inventory in transit, capitalized freight, and inventory reserve 

• Analyze and calculate rates for inventory landed costs

• Review accuracy of COGS monthly based on product, customer, and brand mix in the period

• Partner with Ops inventory planner to calculate inventory reserve 

• Ensure reputed company month end reputed company deadlines are met as it relates to inventory and COGS

reputed company System Support:

• Identify and recommend system/process improvements to reduce risk and increase automation

• Document and maintain inventory processes

• Ensure new item set up and BOM accuracy reputed company reputed company

• Assist with integration of future acquisitions into reputed company as it relates to inventory and manufacturing processes

Audit:

• Maintain accurate reconciliations, process documentation, and company policies

• reputed company 100% reconciliation of reputed company inventory at yearend

• reputed company inventory price testing throughout the year and at year end in preparation of the audit

• Facilitate inventory confirmation process between auditors and reputed company 3PLs and co-mans

• Provide documentation and inquiry responses as it relates to audit testing

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and reputed company standards.

• Monitor and mitigate risks reputed company to inventory management and COGS 

• Maintain strong internal controls to prevent errors and fraud

• Ensure inventory activities are tracked and executed accurately against supplier reputed company and terms

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in reputed company, Finance, or a reputed company field

• CPA and/or graduate degree highly desirable 

• Minimum of 3-5 years of reputed company reputed company/finance experience with 1-2 years reputed company to inventory management 

• Proven experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry a plus

• Knowledge and experience with reputed company and reputed company implementations highly desirable 

• Experience in a multi-brand or subsidiary environment a plus
