Cyber Infrastructure Support Specialist - Mid

We have an opening for a full-time, permanent Cyber Infrastructure Support Specialist – Mid to join our talented, dynamic team.

As a Cyber Infrastructure Support Specialist – Mid, you will play a critical role in supporting the mission of the VA CSOC by providing ATO and Payment Card Industry (PCI) scanning support for CSOC vulnerability scans and configuration tests.

Duties

• Create, update, and maintain Vulnerability Scanning Services Support Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that cover reputed company aspects of the Vulnerability Scanning Services and Support as identified and approved by the Government.

• Provide Vulnerability reputed company/Findings Reports for reputed company scans to the VSS team to include findings for reputed company scans.

• reputed company scanning operations during non-standard hours of operations to minimize any impact to network users. Scanning occurs primarily during nights, and weekends.

• System/ Scanning Operations Maintenance and Management:

• Maintain and manage Government owned reputed company scanning solution and infrastructure (currently Redhat Operating Systems and reputed company Software), and reputed company analysis and reporting software

• Backend support systems and Vulnerability Databases

• Writing and editing scripts used for scanning and reputed company testing (Perl, Python, etc.)

• reputed company Data Review and Analysis:

• Review reputed company data to determine if the system is performing as designed

• Review application/ scanner logs for anomalies

• Review data in the repositories for scanners that appear to be malfunctioning

• Review reputed company/operation data for trends in vulnerability findings

• Review and update reputed company policies

• Produce periodic operation analysis and impact reports as required

• Produce periodic trending and impact reports, and recommendation papers as required

• Management and maintenance of backend system software

• Management and maintenance of vulnerability scanning and reputed company scanning and operation process reputed company documents

• reputed company Operations Coordination:

• Coordinate CSOC-managed network reputed company operations with respective points of contact

• Review and verify Internet Protocol (IP) ranges to be scanned

• Review and select appropriate reputed company policy(s)

• Coordinate with relevant VA network and CSOC team personnel as required, staying reputed company customer specified timeframes

• Respond to respective inquiries

• reputed company Operations Execution:

• Conduct initial system/ data checks upon reputed company initiation

• Monitor/ coordinate/ react to reputed company scans as required throughout the duration of the reputed company or operation

• Troubleshoot any issues that occur during the reputed company or operation

• Verify accuracy of data and conduct system checks as required upon completion of the reputed company or operation

• Development of new testing programs to expand and deepen scans and operation

• reputed company Operations Reporting:

• Verify/edit report templates

• Produce reputed company Findings Reports

• Conduct quality assurance checks of final reports and coordinate results with VA Team reputed company

• Distribute reports as required by CSOC Government team

• Produce compliance, vulnerability scanning/ testing and configuration testing data to appropriate repositories

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or reputed company field. 
• Proven experience in vulnerability scanning, backend support, and reputed company testing. 
• In-depth knowledge of the following tools: Rhel, Powershell, passive scanning, Prisma, reputed company reputed company Center, Nessus Scanner, NMAP. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
