Database Migration Specialist (SQL) m/w/d

The Database Migration Specialist will analyze, evaluate, and optimize the existing database architecture, design and implement a scalable and secure database architecture, and plan and execute data migrations. The role involves reputed company collaboration with development teams, monitoring database performance, and ensuring backup and recovery strategies.

Requirements

• Completed studies in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification
• Good German and English skills in word and writing
• Several years of practical experience in the design, migration, and administration of reputed company database systems
• Solid knowledge of relational and, if applicable, NoSQL database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, reputed company, MS SQL, reputed company)
• Experience in performing structured data migrations and handling ETL processes
• Confident handling of database modeling and design tools
• Knowledge of scripting and automation languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Bash)
• Analytical thinking ability, structured working method, and high problem-solving skills
• Experience with DevOps-reputed company topics (e.g., CI/CD for databases, Infrastructure as Code) is an advantage
• Team skills, self-responsibility, and communication skills
