As our Senior QA Engineer, you’ll build the function from the ground up, own the testing pyramid and ensure our AI-first accounting platform is reliable at scale. You’ll operate with ownership: ship fast, think critically about tradeoffs, and push for pragmatic solutions. This is an intense, hands-on role with full ownership. We expect you to push for excellence and raise the bar. Location: Remote with overlap to our New York City HQ (EST) Where you'll create impact

• Establish and lead QA practices for a new AI-first SaaS platform
• Design and execute test strategies across UI, API and integrations
• Build and maintain test case management and reporting systems
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure quality at every stage
• Own bug reporting, triage and release validation
• Lay the foundation for future automated QA testing and CI/CD integration
• Drive user experience improvements

What sets you up for success

• Hardcore work ethic and high agency
• 4+ years of experience in Software QA, focused on SaaS/web applications
• Experience with UI and API testing at scale
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, AWS and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Strong grasp of bug reporting (Jira), test management (TestRail), and tools like Selenium/Cypress/Playwright
• Knowledge of performance testing, database testing and monitoring (Datadog a plus)
• Product intuition and user empathy, with critical thinking on testability
• Ability to manage complex systems with evolving requirements
• Fluent in English (C1+) with strong written and verbal communication

Nice to have:

• Programming experience in any language
• Familiarity with React or modern frontend frameworks
• SQL and relational database experience (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• Prior SaaS product QA experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Equity: $15,000 - $30,000 USD
• Base Salary: $40,000 - $85,000 USD
• Contract type: B2B
