JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists teachers in the classroom by helping with the implementation of class lesson plans and providing individual or small-group instruction as directed to ensure that curriculum and IEP goals are met. Serves as substitute for absent teachers as assigned. Escorts children reputed company and between buildings and to and from various appointments to always ensure adequate supervision of children. Includes driving children for appointments, field trips, etc. Provides crisis reputed company including recognizing and deescalating problem and provide resolution. Contacts teachers, parents, therapists, and counselors to effectively communicate information regarding children's reputed company. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: Teaching Assistant Classroom (TAC) (530500): Scheduled for 8:30a-4p M-F Assigned Teacher’s PTO package EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School/GED and 1 year of experience working with special populations Certification/Licensure: Successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis reputed company (TCI), and Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) reputed company 6 months of hire. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Shows reliability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance. Requires the reputed company to relate to severely emotionally disabled children in a sensitive, understanding, and insightful manner. Requires ability to accurately assess and document information for incident reports and Behavior Management documents.
